ROOTS

The founder and driving force behind the eponymous Cheryl Hazan Gallery on North Moore Street, in the heart of TriBeCa, has for over a decade been dedicated to presenting works on canvas that are crafted by an exceptional array of artists. With an emphasis on the unique in technique, materials and messages, Cheryl Hazan Contemporary Art offers large-scale works that speak to the need for downtown expansive loft spaces to be filled with intriguing, powerful art.
Ms. Hazan’s next show, ROOTS, is based on her long-standing intimate involvement with artists and their work. “ROOTS expresses my curated look at collaboration. The show also reflects a point of view based on my travels and collaborations with other European galleries.”
The exhibition will showcase paintings, sculpture, and works on paper by American artists Michael Kessler and Bruce Tolman, Turkish artist Ahmet Oran, and Columbian artist Eduardo Terranova, all curated and hung with the artistry that patrons of Cheryl Hazan Contemporary Art have come to crave.
According to Ms. Hazan, this show’s global mix is a perfect complement to what will happen next in the gallery from December 13th – January 6th: the re-launch of ZONA, the iconic Soho lifestyle store known for inspired shopping and soul soothing browsing.
